The upstream face of an embankment dam must carry a protective layer of uniform thickness over large areas. Variations leave thin spots that erode and thick spots that waste material and add unnecessary load.
Slope pavers address this by combining grade-following (a sensor or reference line that tracks the design slope) with continuous forward travel. The paving head stays parallel to the slope while concrete is placed and finished at a controlled rate.
What to specify before purchase: design slope ratio, layer thickness, target area per day, concrete supply method and maximum working width.
